Thanks for your post saywhatagain - I'm glad to read that your health is steadily improving.

I agree that carbs are important for energy and to fuel the fire in our bodies. I've been trying to increase my intake of carbs, however it's a little difficult to do so without feeling like you're stuffing yourself or overeating.

I'm continuing to eat a kitchari of mung daal, brown rice, fresh ginger, garlic, and spices. Recently I've been adding asparagus, okra (lady's fingers), broccoli, mushrooms, and essentially just experimenting with a broad range of vegetables for taste and texture. I've also been adding some chopped potatoes, sprouts, and herbs. Sometimes I'll even forgo the rice and just add extra potatoes.

I'm noticing that my digestion is far weaker in the morning, so will eat a light breakfast such as fresh fruit and/or a soaked dried fruit+nut smoothie with spices). If I go cycling in the morning, I'll occasionally convince myself to eat something heavier (i.e. energy-rich) for breakfast like brown rice porridge (very soft) or potatoes, but find that shortly after eating my stomach will gurgle and whatever I consume will pass straight through me without being fully digested, while my tongue will be heavily coated.

Other symptoms (lack of energy, brain-fog, tiredness upon waking) remain largely unchanged, however my bowel movements are far better.

Anyway, I shall look forward to your next update, especially which foods you feel are more suitable for your body type.

Best of luck!

J
