IS (Ionic Silver)is composed of silver ions - is very effective on the outside of the body, or in a neti pot or to use in the mouth and throat area. My wife is an allergic asthmatic and normally has 4 to 8 severe sinus infections a year,requiring heavy Antibiotics , since using IS in a nebulizer she has not had a single upper infection. I could not take back the silver from her even if I wanted to(which I do not!)
CS ( Colloidal Silver ) is composed of very small metallic silver particles that are better to use internally.
The condition of argyria is usually associated with IS since ions can bond with tissue.
I have several silver cloth bandages(ripstop silver fabric)which I have a controlled current and voltage going into this fabric for healing bad sores/wounds, with the power the silver ions go into the area covered with the silver fabric and helps speed up healing and prevent infection. I have used this on myself and a neighbor. This neighbor has diabetes and had a large open sore ulcer from her knee to her ankle. With the "powered Bandaid in 3 months running it several hours a day the wound is gone, not even a scar.
