Update: The Iodine potassium drops should only be used on a short-term basis since using it for months can cause hypo or hyper thyroidism. I only felt like I needed to use the Iodine potassium drops during the first week to shrink the fordyce spots so it is no problem for me to stop now. I guess the Iodine potassium drops are known for treating inflammatory conditions. I will report back later when I receive more information.
