Trust me, I know what you mean. It took me YEARS to finally come to the conclusion that I needed to cut it out of my diet. I couldn't imagine my life without it. I thought I would be walking around like a zombie all day, barely able to stay awake.

But I can say that's it's not as bad when you actually put it into action. The first two days are the worst depending on how much caffeine you have. The first time I quit I was drinking 4 cups of coffee a day. So for the first two days I felt pretty crappy. Like I had the flu/cold and I had a migraine. But it wasn't so bad quitting tea. And after the first two days your withdrawal symptoms fade. The body adjusts pretty rapidly.

To give some tips, I would suggest quiting on a Friday if you have Saturday and Sunday off so you can recover and just relax. I would also suggest taking ibuprofen for the initial pain (although not long term because that causes odor problems as well), and taking vitamin C tablets. Vitamin C is known to lessen withdrawal symptoms and help the body recover.

It's been about 3 weeks now and I feel like I have a good energy level, so I can't say I miss it at all.
