Myself and my daughter have been suffering from a fast heart rate for months. We have listened to so many ideas and have tried removing foods from our diet. We are now thinking it is something to do with the acid in our stomach.
We have found that fizzy drinks and pasta and carbs, make us a lot worse we get a delayed reaction (about a day later which last for days) our hearts beat like crazy mine up to 180bpm my 17 year old daughters up to 140bpm she also feels ill and dizzy at the same time.
I thought it may be low stomach acid so we raised my daughters bed (not possible to raise mine) started taking high vit C 1000mg and eating apples,
we felt a bit better so I brought a full spectrum enzymes. And took one (the bottle said two) before our meal. I felt fine but my daughter felt worse than ever about two hours after her heart was beating fast and she felt ill and dizzy. Why would this happen?
Could she have high stomach acid, I know this is rare so thought it must have been low stomach acid. she has also lost about two stone in weight and now very underweight.
How can I tell... we tried the bicarbonate soda in water test and we burped almost as soon as we finished the water but that could have been because we drank it too fast.
Is there any difference between hyperchlorhydria and hypochlorhydria at all?
And how would you treat hyperchlorhydria?
