I had the last of these on 12 August 2012.
The next day I started what it pleases me to call "the mighty engine of the intellect", and it produced a protocol of:
1- no more carbohydrates, ever. Coffee was the last.
2- no more zero Iodine days (I had been taking a two day break on weekends), instead on weekends, took two drops separated by ~6 hours.

I know that this condition was caused by a tumor - there was and I still some of a lump on the outer ear, and the ear canal had narrowed so water did not drain easily from it.

I believe the the dizzy spells/falling out of my chair were caused by the tumor shrinking relatively quickly due to iodine, leaving a space where the organ of balance could move suddenly. It took at least 15 years to grow.

I don't know why my no coffee protocol stopped the falling. Guess it's evil carbohydrates/excess blood Sugar in general, as I have a long lifetime of symptoms pointing to a carb/glucose sensitivity.
