Hi Maggie, If the pain is caused by inflammation oran inflammatory response then fasting may help. Several years ago I was on day 9 of a ten day Water Fast and mentioned this to my chiropractor and he had a fit. While he acknowledged that Water Fasting was good for inflammation it could cause mineral and electrolyte imbalances.I have a spinal injury with nerve damage and have almost constant pain. Anyway, monitor your pain and see if it helps. Good luck
