I have seen it stated before, and I would like to echo .... whenever we undertake the task of "cleaning out" our bodies, this also hits the emotional, mental, spiritual bodies as well.

If you are one, as I am, who believes that emotional pain can manifest in physical discomfort, I would certainly look into which emotional ties are representative of the liver.
