I read there was something you could take internally to decrease fibroblasts, but I was not sure if it was for the right fibroblasts. There are different types of fibroblasts.

What I wrote was summary of what I read. The actinic cheilitis and keloid scar were not in the same article, but it is the same principle. Yesterday, I posted a couple of study article links. The most common term used to describe increased fibroblasts was proliferation of the skin, which means to multiply rapidly producing new cells/tissue. An article on keloid scars mentioned how the fibroblasts thickened the skin or scar tissue. Fibroblasts affect how the top layer of skin holds together.

I think increased fibroblasts are the cause more than anything else.
