I never use hot water either, my skin feels much better now than it did a few years ago when I still took long and hot showers every morning.
I sometimes use some warm steam to open my pores and to clean my face. My dermatologists once gave me some helpful leaflets on how to clean your skin without damaging it, that really changed everything for me.
