When I use Vaseline on my lips they DON'T crust up and turn yellow. A very thin, skin-looking layer covers the affected area instead.

Maybe you should stop using the Vaseline for the next few days so you can truly see if your lips have gotten a bit better.

But even when using Vaseline that thin, skin-like layer will get a bit thicker and will fall off easily, do if it does you will know if you have EC.
