When I first started having this problem the exterminator came in my home treated my home and put out several glue traps. After a week or so I noticed some brown specks on the pads, I thought it might be dirt, but looked at it with a 10x magnifier and could see it was some sort of bug or mite. I sent the pad to the U of Missouri, they sent back the results that it was collembola or also called spring-tails. Of course they said they will not bit humans, so I did some research and found out a little about them. You can look them up the find all about them. When they are newly hatched you can't see them and I haven't seen the ones on me until about two weeks ago I was cutting my hair, I cut my hair short to deal with the ones on my head. When I cut some hair it fell into the sink and there was one of them jumping around in the sink. They can jump from 50 to 100 times their length and they molt I think three times to become adult which is about 8 days. Their life span varies from a few weeks to a few years, that's according to the info on the web about them. Even though I have them in my legs and arm, most of them come from my head. The key it to not let them lay thousands of eggs, to kill them before they multiply to a uncontrollable number. How I know they hatch is I have felt them many times hatch out on my head, I feel pressure and within seconds I feel them running down my back, I don't always feel the pressure they just run down my back. If I don't have something on my back and skin they will start biting. Now I have to keep my body doped with something all the time or they will bit all day, all over my body. I have to deal with them 24-7 to function. I got the function generator today and I hope it will help.
