I decided to buy this sodium ascorbate to make paste for my lips. I do not know if I will also take this product orally, but I will apply it on my lips mixed with a little water. This kind is not supposed to irritate your skin. I am sure there are smaller bottles for a cheaper price, but I will just try this one. So, I will test the virus theory with this paste. If a virus is causing my EC, my lips should clear up within a few days of applying this paste. Wish me luck!

Calcium ascorbate might be gentler than the sodium ascorbate.
