Glaxony is basically right that being addicted to p 0 r n is a sign of an inability to have the social skills to meet real women in your life, and Micheal B is also right that there is  vast difference between males and females in that biologically and instinctually males have to initiate sexua| relationships and not the females. This requires special skills on behalf of males, that women may perhaps do without.

To understand male sexuality as distinct from female sexuality, please have a look what drives some males to commit a sexua| offences:

Sexual Abuse and Treatment

I regard addiction to p 0 r n o g r a p h y as a sign of depression, because it inevitably involves a low self-esteem on the part of the victim. Self-confidence is at the root of social skills. But sslf-confidence is not always what it appears to be. It is not necessarily "psychological". Depression is nearly always followed by a low self-esteem, and some people believe erroneously that a low self-esteem is the always the cause of depression.  I do not believe so, but rather that a low self-esteem is caused by the body's inability to produce feel-good neurotransmitters such bas serotonin. If this is so then is is a matter to getting the body to produce the right neurotransmitters and hormones in order to regain self-confidence.

If men want to regain control over their sexua| drives, they need to regain self-confidence and develop social skills, to communicate at the feeling levels with the opposite sex. Lack of self-confidence is explained in the following article and should be followed by reading the other articles.
