I wish your advice applied to every case because I would be candida free right now.
I tried eating 90/5/5 cooked vegan with rice, potatoes and lots of vegetables but it gave me severe bloatedness and my health did not move forward in one single aspect.
Also while I was on this diet I had three bowel movements a day, which were totally undigested. I could see vegetables in their original color and individual rice grains in my stool.
After about six weeks on this diet I suffered severe Depression and my skin was as dry as hell. Keep in mind that I was consuming 4000+ calories a day.
I have listened to interviews from Natasha Campbell-McBride, who created the GAPS diet. She believes that fiber is a non-specific growth factor for pathogens in the intestinal tract. Therefore if a person has a dominance of pathogens over good bacteria in the gut they would be doing more damage by following a high fiber diet.
I feel like a low fat, high carb diet would be beneficial to people who do not experience bloatedness and undigested stools, but not everyone.
I even tried the 90/5/5 low fat raw vegan (30bananasaday style 3000+ calories) for 2.5 months and experienced the same sort of things as above. The difference was that I was feeling a lot weaker and my teeth started getting cavities.
I have tried using HCL, bile acid factors, digestive enzymes and liver flushes, but none have improved my digestion.
