I am NO EXPERT, just another sufferer here seeking my own answers but, have learned some things which might help you since I experienced what you are talking about prior to becoming severely ill 9 years ago.

Sounds like something is going on in your gut and would say you are correct, those two events are probably related. Perhaps from the foods you ate prior, dehydration, booze or something.

There are many candida diets out there, thecandidadiet is about as good as anyone else out there. Suggest reading about treatment prior to going on a diet as the diet is just one of many components of treatment.

Holding in gas around your friends is the least of your problems, actually. Restoring balance to your system is your primary concern. It's not easy to get a system back into balance as typically there is some other issue which causes candida overgrowth: candida is more a symptom than a stand alone issue.

Sure others with far more experience than I will chime in but, wish you nothing but healing blessings.
