Dr Hal Huggins recommends swishing daily, with 1/2 tsp of pickling and canning salt (because it is the purest) and water for at least 1 minute.

He says that if u have deep pockets in the gums, they will all heal up within 2 weeks.

Not sure if the oil pullers have tried pulling iodine or not, but u could check that area regarding teeth staining.
