Just wanted to post to keep this forum current. Thank you so much Phoebe for your home remedy. I had a Bartholin cyst the size of a large grape which was extremely painful yesterday when I found this forum. I did equal parts of 1 tsp. witch's hazel, calamine lotion and tea tree oil which I soaked on a cotton pad and placed against my Bartholin cyst... instant pain relief and it began draining soon after. Today the pain is gone and the lump is down to the size of a pea, what a relief!

ALSO, just because I'm a lady with a sensitive vulva I'll mention things that I've found helpful for the following:

When I feel myself getting a UTI I take a herbal supplement called Uva Ursi (about 4-5 capsules 3-4 x a day) as well as cranberry pills and most of the time it does the trick and goes away on it's own without the hassle of a doctor for Antibiotics .

And the best remedy I've found for yeast infections (besides or with Diflucan) is plain yogurt on a tampon inserted right in... sounds a little gross but I swear to everything holy that the pain relief is such a godsend the first time the sky opened and I hear angels singing hallelujah! REALLY. Also eating less Sugar since that bacteria feeds off of it and eating yogurt too helps a lot as well. The tampon trick is fully more effective than Monistat anyday.
