this comes and goes depending on the diet and steadiness of the dose. a steady daily dose will allow the body to adjust but changes in environment or diet can cause the mucus to flow again. Iodine is mucolytic - it breaks down mucus so it flows. check out a mucusless diet or at least changes in that direction. i have found that not eating starches/sugars together with proteins works the best. eliminating wheat and dairy are big steps in that direction.
