I have consumed hundreds of bulbs of garlic over the last couple of years. In my experience, it is from die off, however, it is a natural blood thinner, so I am not sure what the impact there would be.

I recently started on another round of garlic, had a headache for several days. It was not a normal migrane, advil would not touch it. It went away, and now I feel great.
