I don't think the article was just talking about "feeling God". It said we forget God’s steadfast love and abundant mercy. Those are two concepts we learn from the bible over and over, and they are the power in us desiring to obey God and turn away from sin. Just like Doc said, we need to remind each other over and over of these concepts because the world seeks to tell us differently, and convince us that we are crazy to believe these two things.
I know I am less likely to sin when I am staying close to God,and there is nothing that draws me closer to him than being reminded of his love and mercy for me.

And Christians don't have a sin nature anymore.
