Oh, and what I forgot to say... I know of at least someone who probably got his EC from overuse of lip balms (he's on this forum as well). I don't think he ever picked/bit is lips. He has seen great improvements over many months by leaving them alone. So it can work for anyone, not just people that caused trauma by biting/picking.

Also, I did not lick my lips excessively. I did use those products for a long time since I got used to them. I never had really chapped lips, just a little dry (they felt try, never really looked dry either). Oh, and licking your lips to a normal degree isn't so bad.. most everybody does it (my doctors always tell me to, but I don't... I ask them what sense it makes to lick my 2mm crusts with my tounge :-D). Licking them excessively is what can cause them do dry out, I guess.
