Hello,

I had the mirena in for 4 years, had extreme symptoms and had it taken out. I had it out for 3 months and then got pregnant (not trying) But I had been on Bio identical progestorone to try and get my hormones under control (since the naturalpath said I was estrogen dominant from the mirena) The progesterone can make you more fertile I heard. It was a long road of test and test before a friend of mine said she had her mirena removed because of Depression and I never thought it was my mirena before then) So had to fight to get it removed. I have since heard of friend having the same problems and me helping them discover it. That mirena is an aweful device!

When pregnant I found I had lots of morning sickness in the first 3 months (more then with my other 2 boys) I found it was a little rougher on my body but I think that was from age not from my experience (I was 30 this time whereas my othe boys I was in my early 20s) But I felt awesome pregnant, all my symptoms were gone. Its great the over load of progesterone when you need it.. My pregnancy was normal, had a perfect healthy boy. The one thing is and I question if it had anything to do with the mirena or not, is when my water broke I never started labour on my own. After 24hours they had to induce me and after having him my uterus had lots of trouble contracting back to its normal size. But baby and me were in great health!

I am now 16months post mirena and 4 months post pregnancy and I still feel great, mind you I am breastfeeding and told some of the girls experience return of some symptoms after stopping. (I will for sure make an update when I stop) But things look great, Its been the most amazing year and I appreciate all the little moments with my family and with this " Miracle (my son)" that I prob wouldn't have if I didn't have the mirena experience. So I am greatful and thankful. Hope this helps, It didn't take me long to get pregnant but we are very fertile to start off with. Hope this helps and good luck on your adventures...
