I have seen studies where fungal candida which is exposed to higher concentrationsof oxygen, not normally encountered in the intestinal tract, leads to hardier strains of candida. Good examples of this would be thrush, nail fungus, etc.
The study you posted on hydrogen peroxide and candida is another good example of this.
This is something that I have talked about before in reference to people who have websites trying to sell others on the idea that oxygen kills candida. Candida has the ability to live in oxygen-rich environments, as well as oxygen-deprived environments. That is why candida is called a facultative anaerobe. If it was an obligate anaerobe, it could only live in oxygen-deprived environments.
