I agree....One God in three persons. I do however use similar term as "roles" because of how the bible is worded. If a person takes the bible as a whole and does not just pick certain scripture to base whole beliefs on as far as who Jesus is, then the One God in three persons will ring true but when individual scriptures are looked at, sometimes it's hard for some people to see who Jesus is because of how it is worded for His role (as God) at that time.
Focus on the scripture more than anything anybody says here. Communication is a difficult thing among different people. Church language is much different than out of church language. I have struggled for years trying to find the balance between not using christianese (befurther's word) language and a language that others may understand. I can always rely on scripture to say it just right. It makes it more interesting to hear people's opinions, but in the end, what they say means very little. It's what scripture says that will transform our lives.
