Wheezing? Take a look at Buteyko Breathing.

Buteyko has the "opposite" explanation. Too little "oxygen" is due to over breathing. Causing a reduction in the level of CO2 in the blood. This reduces the capacity of the blood to exchange CO2 for oxygen in the lungs. Hence the oxygen starvation. Reducing the panting and hunting for breath can be the first step. Not dissimilar to an asmatic breathing into a paper bag. T2
