I've started to look into these cleanses, as I might do one. Weird stuff, ha ha!! But it makes sense -- I'm glad it helped your friend, and that's a good thing to know, too.

I wonder if all the blood tests they're doing will tell me if the liver is fatty. I have been quite a beer enthusiast over the years and done quite a bit of heavy beer drinking. So I wouldn't be too surprised, especially if I'm hypothyroid, that I did some damage. But on the bright side I understand the liver is an amazing organ and can regenerate itself given the right treatment...
