Some vitamin and mineral supplements contain artificial colors, flavors and sweeteners.

Some of these are cancer-causing chemicals.

Taking these supplements may do more harm than good.

It is not normally on the label. But if you do an internet search, you may find a complete list of ingredients of these supplements.

Can anyone recommend brands of supplements which are totally healthy?

Look for supplements that can be taken on an empty stomach. Investigate companies like MegaFood and Garden of Life. Some of their supplements contain active-B vitamins, for example, shown to reverse certain conditions that synthetics failed.
