Everything we do in life involves decisions. Make wise decisions.
Success is the ability to solve problems and make ends meet. A goal unmet is just a problem unresolved. Surely, everybody wants success. The question is whether how good are you in meeting your goals? How good are you in making things happen?
We are always making decisions every time an option is presented right before us. To choose or not to choose doesn’t matter because whatever you do, you are always making a decision. If you want to overcome obstacles, you need to become a continuous problem solver. So how do you become a solution-oriented goal achiever?
Basically, you have to know what the problem is. Identify the things that are trying to hold you back. Determine all the possibilities that can make you achieve it. Lay down the possible solutions. Write them down. Weigh the solutions and decide on which one you will have to pursue. There is no such thing as perfect solution. What you are opting for is the best decision and most suitable solution. As long as you do something, that’s the best thing to do.
There are times that the choices you chose don’t work. It could be frustrating, and worse, depressing at times. Remember, sentimentality hinders success. Do not be overwhelmed with emotions. Emotions are passing feelings, and in time, it will be gone. Be rational in making decisions. Focus on the “how”. Try the next possible solution instead. Go back to the basic steps, identify the problem and weight the next possible solution. Implement what is in mind and see how it works.
Take note that all successful people are solution-oriented individuals. Have you noticed the way successful people think? They are always positive, optimistic and never losing hope. This should be your mindset as well
Many people are having a hard time controlling their emotions. It takes a lot of practice, patience and control to get a hold of your thoughts and feelings. But take note, it is very powerful once you have mastered your thoughts and emotions. Just remember that every time you are making a decision, your emotions are of the least priority. And one more thing, never make any significant decision when you’re angry. That could be a wrong move.
