No. table salt is chloride. "chlorinated water" contains hypochlorite ion.

Two completely different species, the former being a benign ion, the latter being a powerful oxidizer.

The statements concerning chlorinated water have nothing to do with chloride ion that one gets from salt. This is taught in high school chemistry class.
