For years now, a certain person on CZ has demanded proof via scientific study of claims made for natural therapies such as liver flushes, alkaline diet, Iodine megadosing, Amalgam removal/chelation, Blood Type Diet , vegetarianism, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc
Endless debate has ensued polarizing people who fall into the proof is needed camp and those who trust anecdotal evidence supplied by curezone members and other trusted websites in the natural medicine community.
I was absolutely shocked, flabbergasted, stunned, rendered speechless, floored, amazed, stupefied, whammied, prostrated, staggered, blown away, to find this posted on that person's website. just shocked at the hypocrisy...
>Have herbs been studied?
Most of our knowledge of herbs stem from thousands of years of use by humans. Some people will claim that this does not count because they were not clinical or double blind studies. Actually this is a pretty poor excuse. Clinical studies and double blind studies have been performed on all FDA approved drugs, yet many of these drugs are now getting pulled from the market because these studies, including safety studies, did not reveal dangerous or deadly side effects of the drugs

So i guess the lesson here is that if someone is selling a product it is OK to ignore the endless rantings about how proof is essential and it is OK to use anecdotal evidence.
But, if you want to humiliate sick people on a support or debate forum then you must demand absolute scientific proof and ridicule anyone who uses anecdotal evidence.
The depth of hypocrisy here is limitless.
