Your welcome DL,

I also think you will be fine on a 20 or even 30 day fast given your starting weight, height, and bone-frame size.

Personally I would just take one day at a time and see how things develop. I am not in favour of a long fast as a set number of days, as this can be quite daunting for many; the one day at a time approach works very well for many, as it did for me on both of my fasts.
The first was horrendous in terms of detox, and I think many would have given up under the same circumstances, but I was fighting for my life, and this was of course a huge motivation in perseverance.
Much depends on your levels of toxemia; a 20 or more day fast can be plain sailing if toxic levels are low enough, but quite the opposite if they are high. Everyone reacts differently.
The rewards post-fast have to be felt and experienced to be believed, and as Paul Bragg used to say......"just grin and bear" can sometimes be the case.
On the other hand Upton Sinclair was quoted as saying after his first prolonged fast: "I have discovered a state of superhealth unknown to humans".

Electrolytes should not be an issue up to thirty-five days so don't feel too concerned during the fast as to how they are: anxiety/stress can ruin a fast.
No, not a good idea to see your GP: this will only add to your own anxiety and probably theirs as well!!!

Yes Bragg has such an enthusiastic and infectious style of writing and hugely motivating.

The Masterpiece of all books on Hygiene and fasting in my own view is without doubt: "Human Life Its Philosophy and Laws": An Exposition of the Principles and Practices of Orthopathy, by Herbert M Shelton . (1928) and originally published by the "How To Live Publishing Company", Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Shelton single-handedly sorted/edited the very best of the early Hygienists writings over a number of years, into this one volume, where its contents are as true today as they were then.
I have an old hardback copy, but you can read it for free online here............

Don't be too concerned about becoming thin, as you will, but avoid the naysayers/do-gooders that want to get a square meal into you at the first opportunity; they are your worst enemy on a fast.

Chrisb1.
