Injection wells... the waste is still generated... and disposed of... and pollutes the environment.

it is like these damn electric cars running around with their *zero emissions* decals all over them... they are **not** zero emissions vehicles - never were and never will be.

They are still manufactured, with all of the energies and wastes generated for that purpose... and then they create waste upon being junked.

Not to mention while in use, the *hazardous wastes* of the batteries - that need replaced - and the electric generation to charge them up...

they were known in the 90's as **elsewhere polluting vehicles** by those in the environmental sciences and actually caused more pollution than combustion engines over their lifetimes - in part due to the very *inefficient* use of power generated from electrical plant through the drive train to the road.

Largely they are just another marketing gimmick.
