I am sorry, Hv... I do not have that info to assist you. I was asking this mom if her daughter was any better. When I last saw the young woman, she was in a wheel chair, and when I inquired yesterday, mom was pretty frustrated by the fact that the doctors cannot find what is causing the pain in her muscles. Of all the tests she has been given, all of them have not turned up anything. Mom states that they have givine her many tests, but I do not know what those are, except for what I mentioned. Thanks for answering... if you want to list any possibilities to check out, that would be appreciated.
I listed some possibilities in my last post. But without more details it is hard to say where to go next.
People really need to be more specific about their symptoms when asking for health advice. If someone asks what to do for pain that tells me nothing. Different sources of pain require different methods of treatment. Different types of headaches are treated differently. Neuropathies are not treated the same as pain from a urinary tract infection. A nail will have to be removed from the foot before you can address that pain........
Therefore, if you can get more information it would be a great help.
Being that the scans showed nothing though then I would say the most likely scenario is some form of demyelination neuropathy. They would have checked her for diabetes so this would leave some form of infectious neuropathy unless she had some procedure such as injecting something in to the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). This happened to my aunt. The doctor injected a drug in to her CSF even though the drug warning specifically stated this is not recommended. Even injecting water in to the CSF can cause demyelination.
If she would like to contact me by e-mail with more details such as her lab tests I may be able to give more details and suggestions. But again, the information presented already is not very much to go on. It could really help to see the results of her blood tests. Particularly for the red and white blood cells and if they did SED rate, CRP and ANA.
