OK, but Inflammation is an immune response, so as long as the immune system can fight it will create this response.

This leaves you with the option of dumping down the immunes system ala Medico Mafia, Vit-D and countless other things or aiding the body in removing the pathogen.

Now we are back to identifying the pathogen, toxin, parasite, L-Form?

Simply aiding the body in removing the inflammatory response is no better than what the Medico Mafia offers. That's like fluotidating your population to hide the moral decay.
