I tend to lean towards the idea that most all chronic diseases are associated with a form of inflammatory response to environmental conditions.

Absolutely agree with you - with a bit of expansion:  Inflammation/prolonged cellular stress due to toxins, as well as radiation and pathogens which have gotten past suppressed immune systems, in combination with cells which have not been properly nourished, cleansed or hydrated.  THAT, imo, is the formula for most disease - and in the formula one should be able to clearly see the solution.
