I'm sorry. Salt and water can be good in general, especially when somebody is low in salt. Regarding iodine, the chloride portion of salt can be useful for pushing out bromine. I hadn't seen any suggestion in this thread that bromine might be involved with your prostatitis, so extra salt for you may be a shrug of the shoulders. I hope something else helps.
