I took 50 mg of Iodine almost a week ago because I heard it was the therapeutic dose for prostatitis. I don't have prostatitis, but I do have a very tight bladder neck that I think may have something to do with Candida(frequent urination, hesitation, weak stream).

I took it and it made my mind more foggy then usual and I had a much harder time peeing. So much harder that it scared me. It stayed like this for about a day and a half and now has leveled out to just being between my initial weak stream and this have to push harder version. The trade off though was that I no longer have to pee as much. I feel like I have a pretty normal bladder for holding now.

I believe this was a die off symptom in retrospect. I want to keep fighting with Iodine and I've recently jumped on to Candida diet. The problem is I've recently found out about selenium and iodine.

How much Selenium should I take in relation to iodine?
What kind of Selenium should I take?
