The alkaline diet and a diet to reduce the risk of gall stones and attacks is basically the same.

What people often over look is the fact that the "alkaline diet" actually helps Candida by production of acids.  The higher fiber of the alkaline diet provides more food for the flora to ferment.  During the fermentation of the fibers the flora generate beneficial acids that curb Candida growth and helps increase nutrient absorption.

The increased fiber also helps increase bile acid formation and reduce serum cholesterol that help prevent and dissolve gallstones.

The sterols in many plants also bind cholesterol leading to lowered serum cholesterol.  This in turn reduces the risk of gallstones.  None of this has anything to do with alkalinity though.

While saying alkalinity got rid of my candida was premature, it got rid of my systemic problem

Systemic Candida is extremely rare and extremely dangerous.  Unfortunately, the term "systemic" gets used too freely.

and I can enjoy so many high fiber natural foods that contain starches and sugar without the horrible reaction. I don't feel bad about saying gall stones could possibly be the reason why alkalinity was such a success for me...and why users like michael on here can post pics of strings of candida and a bunch of green stones.

The strings I have seen people post look a lot more like undigested cellulose.  And the green balls, that do not resemble or have the texture or other properties of real gallstones are saponified oils.

For my cleanse, the malic acid in apples was fine.

I had a clean ultrasound one month after an all out gall bladder attack. Maybe some biliary congestion was not visible. I read that gall stones are more caused by saturated fats from meats than the avocados and things.

Cholesterol derived from meats and the hormones in meat can increase the risk of gallstones.

There are also cleanses that involve small amounts of the oil and lemon mix nightly. I read that adding olive oil to foods and the diet will help cleanse the bile ducts... and low fat diets cause a risk of gall stones.

This is because the ingestion of fats help to keep the gallbladder contracting, which reduces bile stagnation.  The stagnation leads to supersaturation of the bile with cholesterol that can precipitate out as gallstones.

The important thing being, which type of fat. I only read this. I also read that fats from fruits (olive, avocado) are better than those from nuts for keeping things clean. I had been on a high bad fat diet after my attack in 2010 and didn't get another gallbladder attack, just more candida. I'm right there with you having had all you can eat fat, poor digestion, and no gall bladder attacks. Now I'm shedding stones with the cleanse and the careful alkaline diet that is also good for gall stones.

Again the benefit is from the fiber and sterols, not alkalinity.
