Reputable small dairies do not torture their animals by taking their babies and keeping them pregnant until they no longer can meet their production quota, then sending them to slaughter. I can only speak for my dairy of course. We pay $10 or more for a gallon and gladly. I would pay double this amount.

Raw milk has natural fats and probiotics that help the gut. There is one mother that buys from my dairy to help her autistic child.

I make raw butter and kefir from it. I didn't mean to sound like I was attacking in my first post. Factory farmed and processed dairy is poison to the body, just like salt, but we shouldn't generalize "milk" as we do have options these days. Sometimes I think these studies come out to hurt raw dairy and boost soy product sales. You can always follow the money and see who funded the study to know the truth!
