I wonder why our paths haven't been crossing lately? I miss you! I have been wanting to ask you some questions...

Can you tell me why the first time I did a liver flush I got a pint of ...

what they call "stones" and when I cut them in half, they had obviously formed over time, because they had rings like a tree?

Oil from the flushes can congeal in rings in the intestines.  It does not take days, or months or years for this to happen.  All the congealed oil needs to do is to react with more oil to form the rings.

And the next 5 times I flushed my liver all I got was some sludge that kind of looked like pea soup?

Part of the reaction that creates these soap stones in the intestines involves the bile.  How much bile is present and how cholesterol saturated the bile as well as other factors can affect how the soap stones will exit.  Such as blobs or muck.

It surprises me that I don't get a pint of those rubber ball thingies after every flush, since I am using the same recipe of olive oil and lemon juice every time, including most recently last week.

Again, it all depends on the "ingredient" availability, which includes oil, sterols, bile, cholesterol. etc.  The oil is not saponifying without the assistance of bile being supplied by the body.

I am so glad the pain I was having in my side has gone away, and I can now eat a little fatty food without getting indigestion. Wonder why flushing my liver makes that pain go away, and I stop getting indigestion for a while?

It could have just been stagnant bile.  This can lead to the formation of sludge, which is pushed out with the ingestion of oil.  But it does not require large amounts.  A little fat/oil with each meal can help keep the bile moving.

Women are more prone to this due to their higher levels of estrogen and progesterone.  Especially the progesterone, which prevents proper gallbladder contraction due to the smooth muscle relaxing effect.

Moving the bile also means moving the bowels, which can also help people feel better.

Would you recommend that I suffer the pain and keep the indigestion and not do a liver flush any more, since you know it is just a smoke and mirrors hoax???

There are a number of things you can do to help increase bile and prevent gallstones that I have mentioned before.  For example, fibers and lecithin granules can be used to increase bile production.  Bitters help promote bile release and to control the excess hormones that can contribute to stone formation.  And avoiding progesterone containing compounds and other smooth muscle relaxants.  You can also have small amounts of oil with each meal to stimulate CCK release, which contracts the gallbladder to help prevent stagnant bile.  Sterol rich foods and herbs will bind bile cholesterol in the intestines preventing the reabsorption of the cholesterol and thus lowering the cholesterol levels in the bile.  The reduction in cholesterol saturation reduces the risk of stone formation.
