That might possibly vary somewhat from one place to another, but most states which allow the sale of raw dairy have standards and inspections (thus Grade A Raw Milk).  The milk we get and drink exclusively now is Grade A Raw Goat Milk.  I think raw cow milk beats store-bought milk hands down, but raw goat milk beats raw cow milk hands down.  It is far more nutritious and also better tolerated by those who may have problems with dairy.  We love the stuff - including my partner Luella, who will not drink cow milk.
