L-glutamine is not a anti-fungal and should not cause die-off.  If your taking it on a empty stomach and getting a bad reaction to it a few hours after you take it then the candida might be producing harmful metabolites from it.  Ive had some bad experiences from singular amino acids. Most candida programs recommend l-glutamine once the candida is under control.
