That's an opinion voiced on here but you have to decide for yourself. For me, nothing has worked as good as strong probiotics and l-glutamine. You do want to aim to get more veggies in your diet, that's a general rule of thumb for good health but don't get obsessive about it because you still do need complete proteins and fat, and it's almost impossible to rely strictly on quinoa and avacadoes. But you can certainly go and ahead and try. If you read a few posts back you will find THE OXALATE CONNECTION.. this is another issue that people overlook when going alkaline.

I would actually not recommended going heavy alkaline for long periods of time. You may mess up the natural ph balance of your body.

I would consider introducing more alkaline foods that are low in oxalate..but do this slowly. Shift the balance of your diet but don't do it drastically.

You can only go so far on the scale so why rush? And your body CAN become TOO alkaline.
