And cougar, thank you for all your suggestions! I'll start upping Iodine to 100mg. It was recommended to up gradually from 12.5-50mg, one tablet weekly, I'm assuming I should do that, as well, when upping to 100mg?

I have been taking the Iodine WITH food, as I had read somewhere that helped with better absorption, but no?

I kind of had that sinking feeling that maybe I wasn't absorbing iodine, but didn't want to up the Iodine if I really was sufficient. Silly me, I could only wish to be that healthy ;)

Ok, I'm taking the ATP Cofactors (1 a day). From what I read 1 ATP (100mg B-2, 500mg B-3) with 50mg of iodine. Is that right?

3g for C, will start upping that to between 6-9g a day. Does it make any difference in the type of Vit C? I usually buy buffered, either chewable or capsule.

No salt water, yet, I hadn't realized how important that is with getting the bromide out. Will definitely start incorporating that into my schedule.

Have been taking 400mg of liquid mag in capsule form.
Selenium is selenomethionine, 200mcg. Will increase to 400mcg.

I have Lugol's 2% for scrapes and such. And have painted it on my throat when my thyroid felt tight.

I'm not familiar with the ski that you mentioned, but will look into that, as well.

Thanks so much for all your suggestions! It is good to know that it's worth staying the course and I'm not alone in doing this. I think my family thinks I'm a little nuts when talking about iodine ;)
I had no idea that it would take soooo long to get rid of bromide. And that's not even thinking about all the heavy metals that I may have, but one thing at a time.
