I'm with you on a lot of what you say but I am a slave to my instincts which were apparently honed over millions of years of our ancestors living and thriving on scrumptious fruit. Why fight it? It's a symbiotic relationship and I'm doing my part.

I cooked a stir-fry meal for my wife tonight that at no time enticed me to even taste it. I wouldn't consider eating anything slathered in processed oil whether cooked or not and hopefully will never feel desperate enough to have to.

What I did do today was go overboard with my fruit intake. Tomorrow could be difficult too as I have a lot of bananas getting ripe all at once. I did plan for this so as long as I can resist some of the other fruit available, I should be able to not overeat.
