I've had four session of fractional laser treatment and am in my fourth week of recovery. The problem is that the surrounding areas are still very obviously red/pink.

I appreciate that 6-8 weeks is the normal time period for the stretch marks themselves to heal (or least show signs of an improvement), but surely the redness should have faded after 2-3 weeks and not still be prominent after the fourth week?

I'm young, healthy, fit have an very good diet and use aloe vera numerous times per day and so I've basically run out of external factors which could be prolonging the healing process, that I can think of.

Anyone experienced anything similar or know of any tricks to speed up recovery?
