I found Essiac Tea on VitaminShoppe (where I typically buy supplements). The ingredients are:
Vitamin A 110 IU
Vitamin C 1 Mg
Proprietary Blend 2 Gm
Other Ingredients:
Burdock Root, Sheep Sorrel, Slippery Elm, Indian Rhubarb Root.
Does that sound right to you. They want $26 for 1.5 oz of a powder form. There aren't a whole lot of herbs in there, while I know the Slippery Elm has a calming/soothing effect on the GI tract, I haven't heard of the other three. Maybe I ought to look up the ingredients separately and see if there's another, less expensive, tea; or if it's worth the $$ due to potency.
Malic acid was inexpensive enough and seems like a good "cleaner-outter" to add to my fresh lemon/cranberry/ACV/kombucha morning drink to assist with liver detox..
