Thank you so much, Mr. A-87! I have been reading a lot of your posts lately and am considering many things. Going off meats, fats, nuts, Ok, I can do that. But I wonder about this whole "food-combining" thing. People have proven to do really well with just meats/veggies, and others (like you) going vegan. I wonder if there is a correlation with you not being able to digest meats/fats because of the starches you eat.... or conversely, other people not being able to tolerate grains or potatoes because they ingest animal proteins or fats?

Are you suggesting I go low-fat in general?

(Right now I'm snacking on a sizeable dish of organic raw pumpkin seeds, which are high in fat, but also a nasty weapon against parasites.)

I'm familiar with your stance on coconut oil, also, but your being vegan surprises me, as most vegans rely heavily on this highly nutritious plant oil for its benefits.

What's your opinion on food combining?

I am very resistant to going back to eating quinoa, rice, and other grains because I really feel as though the Primal way of living is extremely beneficial and natural, and when I eat too many grains, my carb cravings come back, majorly. Bowls of oatmeal, warm steamy starches like potatoes, I'll be back on Sugar in no time. Starch is like the gateway drug IMHO ;)

I appreciate your input. I just finished reading one of the links you'd posted for somebody else about the Gut and Thyroid Connection. Interesting stuff. I'm definitely looking into your way of thinking.

I never had problems eating meats or fats before, so I think if I did choose this route for healing, I would most likely go back to my "normal" patterns of eating, with the exception of grains and legumes.
