Hi Angelbebe. I just wanted to say how much I sympathize with you. It is so hard being sick.
I don't really know what all you have going on, I just wanted to tell you that I will say a prayer for you and I hope you are able to find something that helps.
I have had some periods of dealing with swollen, painful lymph nodes in my neck, behind my ears and one under my arm pit. They were all on the right side of my body for some reason.
Doesn't it mean when those lymph nodes swell up that the body is trying to fight off something?
I have noticed in my own experience that there have been correlations of things that cause them to swell and become painful. Once when I was trying out the supplement Astaxanthin it seemed to throw my immune system into over drive and I got stung by a bee on my nose and my face swelled horribly like the beast off of Beauty and the Beast. My lymph nodes were so swollen and painful I could hardly move my neck. And then I tried it again (the Astaxanthin) a couple of weeks later and my body over reacted to a sunburn. My lips swelled up and bled and my lymph nodes again went into over drive. After the second incident I realized that I could never take the Astaxanthin again since it seemed to stimulate my immune system so much that I was sick for over a week each time.
And when I notice that something makes my lymph nodes swell and hurt, or gives me body aches I quit taking it.
I also notice if I sometimes take supplements that seem to stimulate my immune system I will get body aches. It's only certain kinds of supplements for the immune system though - not all of them. I seem to do fine with some things, like turmeric and quercetin.
For a while it seemed like lysine would help my lymph nodes go down and not be as painful.
I'm recently dealing with a painful tooth and decided to try for the first time, pau d' arco. I think the pain is coming from a tooth I already had a root canal done in so I'm hoping the pau d' arco helps. I don't have insurance and I'm not too crazy about the idea of getting it pulled, dug out or removed.
Have you tried Pau d' Arco?
I also thought I would mention that when I get pains in my arms and legs, the kind of aching that feels like the flue, or even head aches, I've found that taking Coleus Forskohlii really helps a lot and I often avoid taking ibuprofen by using the Coleus. I don't know if helps fight sickness or not, but it does help me with pain.
I have kept notebooks to write down what I take every day and make notes of what helps and what doesn't or maybe what makes me feel worse.
In an earlier post, I read of yours, you mentioned gall bladder problems? Something about digestive bitters making your lymph nodes worse? Have you tried the herb Jiaogulan as a bitter? I have the capsules and I just open them up and pour the powder right on my tongue. It doesn't take much, maybe 1/4 of the capsule. This has helped my digestion immensely. I also have used Chanca Piedra in the past and that also helps with pain that can come from the gall bladder area.
Have you tried Ashwagandha or Holy Basil? I love adaptogen herbs and I think I have improved my health with them. When you are sick and feeling dizzy, having brain fog etc I think herbs that help support the adrenals can be very helpful. They have for me anyway.
My heart goes out to you and I will be including you in my prayers and hoping for the best in your healing.
Take care dear.
